Electronic & Hardware Support Technician
Timing Solutions Ltd. One of the top Motorsport timing and data companies in the world is currently looking for a competent and enthusiastic Electronic & Hardware Support Technician to hit the ground running.
The Role Will Involve
- Preparation, maintenance, and repair of company hardware in the workshop and at race circuits
- Liaising with venues to ensure equipment and timing infrastructure are in good working order; arranging to install new, or repair any items as necessary
- Preparing and/or reviewing documentation for the use of technical equipment.
- Maintaining equipment certification including PAT testing of electrical/electronic equipment and Motorsport UK timing certification of timing systems
- Attending suitably approved courses
- Liaising with the Operations Manager on the deployment of equipment at events
- Supporting motorsport events, remotely or on site as appropriate
- Maintaining and updating asset register of equipment
- Managing the day to day operation of the warehouse
Essential Skills
- 2 to 3 years’ experience in an electronic hardware environment
- Good analytical and fault-finding capability, including soldering skills
- Ability to interpret technical documentation
- Excellent IT skills
- Use of Microsoft Office products
- Excellent organisational and logistics skills
- Strong communication skills
- Self-motivation
- Ability and willingness to travel to different locations
- Good team working skills
- The ideal candidate will be required to manage the planning and organisation of their own workload, including prioritisation
- A current full UK driving licence
Working Time
The role is office based at Tamworth with off-site work at race circuits repairing, installing new hardware and supporting events around the UK and worldwide as required.
Working times vary by agreement which will include some weekend working.
Standard office hours are 9-5 with an hour lunch break.
When working off-site hours vary depending on the requirements.
